The events of the film take place in 1984, and the guests of the premiere fully felt the atmosphere of the later Soviet years , which, of course, was due to the stylish interior of the legendary House of Cinema on Vasilyevskaya, where the premiere shows of all Soviet hit films were traditionally held.

This time the director and screenwriter Mikhail Idov, producer Artem Vasilyev, co-producer Sergey Kornikhin, cameraman Alexander Surkala and actors Alexei Agranovich, Alisa Khazanova, Polina Aug, Artem Volobuev, Vera Idova and others took to the stage to present the picture. “ The Humorist ”brought Alexey Agranovich the Prize for the best leading male role at the 6th Motion Film Festival in Omsk.
